If a Zscaler quote or renewal lands as one per-user bundle price, the first job is working out what each product costs. Zscaler pricing is not published: Zscaler’s pricing and plans page sells two platform bundles with paid add-ons and asks buyers to request a demo for bundle pricing. This guide uses the public references that exist, AWS Marketplace listings and Vendr’s 2026 transaction data, checked on October 19, 2026.
Key takeaways:
- Zscaler publishes no prices and sells two bundles, Essentials Platform and Zscaler Platform, plus paid add-ons.
- A reseller listing on AWS Marketplace shows ZIA Business at $120 per user a year.
- Vendr’s 2026 data puts the median Zscaler contract at $79,770 a year.
- Compare bundle quotes line by line: private access share, data security scope, add-ons and data center fees.
- Posture Control is no longer sold; Zscaler moves its customers to DSPM.
How Much Does Zscaler Cost in 2026?
There is no Zscaler price list. The median Zscaler buyer pays $79,770 a year, according to Vendr’s 2026 benchmark of 104 purchases, with a range of $22,652 to $320,397 a year and buyers saving 14% on average.
What you buy is one of two platform bundles. The Essentials Platform covers internet access and limited private access; the Zscaler Platform, which Zscaler marks as recommended, adds full private access and inline data security. Zscaler’s pricing page lays them out like this:
| Included | Essentials Platform | Zscaler Platform |
|---|---|---|
| Internet access (ZIA secure web gateway) | Included | Included |
| Private access (ZPA) | ZPA Standard for 1 in 20 users | ZPA Platform for all users |
| App Connectors and app segments | 20 connectors, 10 segments | Unlimited connectors, 20 segments |
| Data security | Alert only | Inline web, all apps |
| Zero Trust for Workloads traffic | 1 GB per user a month | 2 GB per user a month |
| Dedicated IPs | 1 pair | 6 pairs |
| Standard ZDX, Sandbox, Firewall, Cyber Isolation | Included | Included |
| Published price | None, quote only | None, quote only |
Zscaler also sells ZPA, the Advanced tiers of ZDX, Zero Trust for Workloads, DSPM and several other products standalone, without a bundle. Internet access is missing from that standalone list, so on Zscaler’s own site ZIA comes inside a bundle. Every item the page marks with a dollar sign, from Sandbox Advanced to Support Plus, is a paid add-on.
Zscaler decides which traffic passes; your team still decides whether a blocked download on a finance laptop is the first step of a breach, and IBM’s 2026 study puts the global average breach at $4.99 million. If nobody can investigate Zscaler, EDR and identity alerts around the clock, the UnderDefense Agentic AI SOC works on top of the tools you already run, and its analysts take the response decision 24/7.

On Zscaler’s pricing page, internet access comes only inside a platform bundle, while ZPA, the Advanced ZDX tiers and Zero Trust for Workloads can also be bought on their own.
Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) Pricing and Features
Zscaler does not publish a ZIA price, and its pricing page sells internet access only inside the Essentials Platform and Zscaler Platform bundles. The public reference is a Carahsoft listing on AWS Marketplace: ZIA Business for 50 users costs $6,000 for 12 months, or $120 per user a year. Zscaler’s own AWS listing sells ZIA in Professional, Business and Transformation editions, so expect those edition names on reseller quotes.
ZIA is a cloud-delivered secure internet and SaaS gateway that replaces traditional hardware firewalls and proxies. It inspects all inline, even SSL-encrypted traffic, without backhauling to a data center.
Key features of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA):

Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Pricing and Features
Zscaler publishes no ZPA price either. The same Carahsoft listing on AWS Marketplace shows ZPA Business for 50 users at $9,360 for 12 months, or $187.20 per user a year. On Zscaler’s pricing page, ZPA comes three ways: ZPA Standard for a share of users in the Essentials Platform, ZPA Platform in the Zscaler Platform, or ZPA as a standalone product.
ZPA provides Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), replacing traditional VPNs by enabling secure, direct access to internal applications without exposing them to the internet.
Key Features of Zscaler Private Access (ZPA):

Zscaler Workload Communications Pricing and Features
Zscaler now sells Workload Communications as Zero Trust for Workloads, and its pricing page shows no price for it. The Standard tier (stateful filtering) comes with both platform bundles, with a monthly traffic allowance per subscribed user that differs by bundle. Advanced adds deep packet inspection for workload internet traffic, and Advanced Plus adds inline data security and sandboxing; both cost extra or can be bought standalone.
This product secures app-to-app communication by applying Zero Trust principles to workload traffic, ensuring only authorized workloads can communicate, regardless of location: on-premises, cloud or hybrid.
Key Features of Zscaler Workload Communications:
- Zero Trust segmentation for workload-to-workload communication
- Microsegmentation policies based on identity, workload, and context
- Supports hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Zscaler Posture Control Pricing: End of Sale and the DSPM Replacement
Zscaler stopped selling Posture Control (ZPC), its cloud-native application protection product, on March 15, 2025, and ended support on March 15, 2026, according to Zscaler’s end-of-sale notice. New buyers cannot get a quote for it.
Zscaler points ZPC customers to Zscaler Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), which covers the posture of public cloud data stores and adds data classification. On the pricing page, DSPM is a paid add-on to either bundle or a standalone product, with no published price.
Zscaler Pricing vs Cloudflare, Netskope, Prisma Access, Cisco and Microsoft
Cloudflare and Microsoft publish per-user prices on their own sites, Netskope lists module prices on AWS Marketplace, and Palo Alto Networks and Cisco sell by quote. The figures below were checked on October 19, 2026, and the Zscaler alternatives roundup covers a wider field.
Zscaler vs Cloudflare Zero Trust
Pricing comparison: Cloudflare’s Zero Trust plans page lists a free plan for up to 50 users, pay-as-you-go at $7 per user a month for teams over 50 users, and a contract plan at an annual custom price per user.
Pricing notes: Cloudflare positions pay-as-you-go for narrow SSE use cases without enterprise support, and full DLP and remote browser isolation are add-ons, so compare Cloudflare pricing at contract level with a Zscaler Platform quote.
Zscaler vs Netskope
Pricing comparison: Netskope’s own AWS Marketplace listing prices each module per 100 users for 12 months, support included: $64,363 for its secure web gateway and $13,714.80 for private access.
Pricing notes: Netskope lists the gateway, inline CASB, API CASB and private access as separate modules, so add up the ones that match the Zscaler bundle you are pricing. Orders above $25,000 go to Netskope’s team directly, which is where Netskope pricing gets negotiated.
Zscaler vs Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access
Pricing comparison: Palo Alto Networks does not publish prices on its Prisma Access page; quotes come through sales and partners.
Pricing notes: ask for a per-user price for each Prisma Access component, the same breakdown you ask of Zscaler, because Palo Alto Networks pricing is set deal by deal.
Zscaler vs Cisco Secure Access
Pricing comparison: Cisco publishes no Secure Access price. Its ordering guide sells Essentials and Advantage tiers for internet and private access, priced by covered user count and term, starting at 50 users.
Pricing notes: Cisco lets you add users midterm but reduce them only at renewal, and Premium support needs at least $30,000 a year in net spend, so check both before you set Cisco pricing against Zscaler.
Zscaler vs Microsoft Entra Suite
Pricing comparison: Microsoft’s Entra pricing page lists the Microsoft Entra Suite, which combines network access with identity protection, governance and verification, at $12.00 per user a month, paid yearly.
Pricing notes: the suite requires Microsoft Entra ID P1, and Microsoft offers special pricing to Entra ID P2 and Microsoft 365 E5 customers, so check your existing Microsoft agreement before you compare.
How to Compare a Zscaler Bundle Quote and Negotiate It
A Zscaler quote usually arrives as one per-user bundle price, which hides what each product costs and makes it hard to set against a vendor that prices modules one by one. Break the bundle open before you negotiate:
- Ask for a line per module. Request the per-user price of internet access, private access, data security and each add-on, even inside the bundle.
- Check the private access share. Essentials includes ZPA for a fraction of your users, so price Essentials plus standalone ZPA against the Zscaler Platform.
- Keep the Standard versions. Both bundles include Standard Sandbox, Firewall, Cyber Isolation and ZDX; buy an Advanced tier only where Standard falls short.
- Find the dollar-sign items. Zscaler marks paid extras such as high-cost data centers (Australia, South America, Africa and others) and Support Plus; ask which are in the quote.
- Put a rival bundle next to it. Vendr’s 2026 analysis found that buyers who showed competing quotes from Netskope, Prisma Access or Cloudflare often won a further 10% to 20% discount.
Vendr also reports that add-ons left outside the base bundle can add 20% to 40% to the total, so get any module you expect to need in year two priced in the same contract. Zscaler’s own ZIA listing on AWS Marketplace shows savings of up to 9% for a 24-month contract and up to 18% for 36 months.
Zscaler Finance and Procurement FAQ
Can you buy Zscaler through AWS Marketplace?
Yes. Zscaler sells ZIA on AWS Marketplace in Professional, Business and Transformation editions for 12, 24 or 36 months, and resellers such as Carahsoft list Zscaler for private offers. Access to the entitlements expires if you do not renew or replace the contract before it ends.
Is support included in the Zscaler license cost?
Standard Support is included in both platform bundles, and Support Plus is a paid line, according to Zscaler’s pricing page. Check which support level your quote assumes before you compare it with another vendor’s.
What happens to an existing Posture Control subscription?
Zscaler offered Posture Control customers who move to DSPM a two-month overlap running both products, after which the rest of the ZPC term converts to a DSPM subscription at no extra charge, according to its end-of-sale notice.
Are deployment services part of the Zscaler price?
No. Vendr’s 2026 data shows deployment, policy migration and integration services quoted separately, often at 10% to 20% of software spend. Ask for a fixed-price services package with a written scope.
How UnderDefense Works on Top of Zscaler
UnderDefense, which publishes this guide, does not sell zero trust access, so it is not ranked or priced against Zscaler here. Its work starts after Zscaler logs an event: a blocked download, a risky ZPA session, a user on an unusual app. Exploitation of vulnerabilities was the most common initial access vector in Verizon’s 2026 DBIR, at 31%, and someone has to decide which Zscaler event is the start of one.
UnderDefense builds an agentic AI platform that unifies security operations and compliance on top of the stack you already own. When Zscaler logs stream into your SIEM, the AI SOC on your SIEM picks them up there, next to EDR and identity data. The table shows what changes for your team.
| Zscaler gives you | What the Agentic AI SOC adds | What changes for you |
|---|---|---|
| ZIA and ZPA logs in your SIEM | AI triage with EDR and identity context | A verdict in about 2 minutes |
| Odd access under a real user name | Analysts confirm with the user over Slack or Teams | A compromised account told apart from a traveling user |
| Events at night and on weekends | Analysts on shift 24/7 | 20-minute SLA response for critical alerts |
| Zscaler next to your other tools | Investigation across 250+ integrations | No migration, no second console |

1. How much does Zscaler typically cost?
There is no list price: Zscaler quotes every deal per user, mostly as one of two platform bundles, the Essentials Platform or the Zscaler Platform. What you pay depends on the bundle, the user count, add-ons and the contract term. The public reference prices from AWS Marketplace and Vendr are in the pricing sections of this page.
2. What factors affect the cost of Zscaler products?
Pricing depends on the number of users or devices, types of services selected, level of usage (e.g., data volume), deployment complexity, and any additional features or integrations required.
3. Are there different pricing plans for small vs. large businesses?
Zscaler sells the same two platform bundles to every company size, and some inclusions depend on size. Privileged Remote Access Standard comes with platform purchases of more than 500 users, and the Essentials Platform covers private access for only part of the workforce, according to Zscaler’s pricing page.
4. Is there a free trial or demo available for Zscaler?
Zscaler often provides demos and proofs of concept through their sales team or partners. Free trials may be available for select products; ask Zscaler or an authorized partner for details.
5. Does Zscaler charge extra for setup or onboarding?
Some pricing plans may include onboarding fees, especially for complex deployments or enterprise customers. It’s important to clarify all potential costs upfront with the provider.
