McAfee (Trellix) Pricing 2026: Ultimate Guide for Security Products

If your McAfee renewal now arrives with a Trellix logo, the product names and the price list have both changed. McAfee pricing in 2026 depends on which McAfee you mean: the consumer brand sells annual plans for individuals and families, and the business products McAfee used to sell, from Endpoint Security to MVISION EDR and ePO, now belong to Trellix.

This guide separates the two price lists, shows every business price Trellix publishes, and covers what drives a Trellix quote, the costs outside the license, and how to negotiate.

Disclaimer: the figures below come from McAfee’s website and the Trellix online store, read in October 2026. Trellix prices its enterprise products by quote, so treat every figure here as a starting point for that conversation.

What Happened to McAfee Enterprise?

McAfee Enterprise and FireEye were acquired by Symphony Technology Group in 2021 and launched as Trellix in January 2022, and McAfee Enterprise’s Security Service Edge portfolio became the separate company Skyhigh Security in March 2022. Consumer McAfee is a separate, privately held company focused on individuals and families, so a McAfee price list and a Trellix quote cover different products.

How Much Does McAfee Cost?

McAfee and Trellix both publish prices, for different buyers. McAfee lists annual consumer plans from $39.99 for the first year, and the Trellix online store sells business licenses from $73.12 per license with the first year of support included. Trellix Endpoint Security, Trellix EDR with Forensics, and Trellix Helix show no public price and go through a quote.

Product Company Published price Unit
McAfee Total Protection Essential McAfee $39.99 first year, renews at $119.99 Per year, 5 devices
McAfee+ Premium Individual McAfee $49.99 first year, renews at $149.99 Per year, unlimited devices
McAfee+ Advanced Individual McAfee $89.99 first year, renews at $199.99 Per year, unlimited devices
Trellix Endpoint Essentials Cloud Trellix $73.12 Per license, minimum 5
Trellix Complete Endpoint Protection, Business Trellix $138.96, falling to $96.34 at volume Per license
Trellix Endpoint Security, EDR with Forensics, Helix Trellix Quote only By quote

Consumer plans stay out of a business budget: McAfee states that its unlimited plans only cover household devices you own “for personal, non-commercial use,” so company endpoints belong on Trellix licensing.

Add-ons, such as data loss prevention, encryption, and email protection, are separate Trellix products with their own prices. For an exact quote, have your license count, the products you need, and your management model ready.

Trellix Endpoint Security (Formerly McAfee Endpoint Security) Pricing and Features

Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) is the product McAfee sold as McAfee Endpoint Security, and Trellix’s own release notes record the rename. It delivers antivirus, threat prevention, web control, and a firewall in a single agent, managed from Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), which Trellix describes as a single console for deployment, security policies, events, and compliance.

Trellix publishes no price for ENS on its own. The closest published figures are in the Trellix store: Trellix Endpoint Essentials Cloud costs $73.12 per license with a minimum of 5 licenses, and Trellix Complete Endpoint Protection, Business costs $138.96 per license for 5 to 25 licenses, falling to $96.34 per license for 101 to 250.

Key Features of Trellix Endpoint Security

ENS covers the core protection layer on clients and servers. Its main features are:

  • Real-time threat detection and response
  • Machine learning-based scanning
  • Integrated firewall and web protection
  • Exploit prevention
  • Centralized management through Trellix ePO

ePO also manages the other Trellix endpoint and data products, which is why most quotes start from the console you already run.

Pros of Trellix Endpoint Security

The strengths come from its long enterprise history and its management console:

  • Per-license prices that fall as the license count grows
  • Easy integration with existing McAfee and Trellix infrastructure
  • Good performance in traditional enterprise environments

All three matter most to teams that already manage McAfee agents through ePO.

Cons of Trellix Endpoint Security

The limitations show up in older and more distributed fleets:

  • Performance can lag on older machines
  • Noisy alerts if policies are not tuned
  • May not fully meet the needs of remote-first teams

Policy tuning is the one you can plan for, and it belongs in the budget alongside the license.

Trellix EDR and Trellix Helix (Formerly McAfee MVISION) Pricing and Features

McAfee’s MVISION line split in 2022. MVISION EDR was rebranded to Trellix EDR, which Trellix now sells as Trellix EDR with Forensics. McAfee Enterprise’s Security Service Edge portfolio, with CASB, secure web gateway, and zero trust network access, went to Skyhigh Security, which also lists a CNAPP product today.

For XDR, Trellix’s security operations product is Trellix Helix. Trellix says Helix can augment a SIEM with SOAR capabilities, perform SIEM processes, and correlate data for extended detection and response, across 500+ integrations from 230 vendors. Trellix publishes no price for Trellix EDR with Forensics or Trellix Helix, and both go through a demo request and a quote.

Key Features of Trellix EDR and Trellix Helix

The two products cover endpoint investigation and cross-tool correlation. Their main features are:

  • EDR and XDR with threat prioritization
  • Forensic capture of files, memory, processes, and full disk images
  • Cloud workload protection, sold as Cloud Workload Security
  • Unified dashboard with analytics
  • Threat intelligence feed integration
  • Automated response workflows through Trellix Hyperautomation

Helix has no minimum Trellix footprint, according to Trellix, so it can sit on top of tools from other vendors.

Pros of Trellix EDR and Trellix Helix

Buyers choose this pair for visibility across a mixed estate:

  • Strong multi-cloud and hybrid environment support
  • Centralized visibility across attack surfaces
  • Scales easily with enterprise growth

Each strength grows with the number of tools you connect.

Cons of Trellix EDR and Trellix Helix

The same depth brings three trade-offs:

  • Steeper learning curve for new users
  • Priced separately from endpoint protection, by quote only
  • Best suited for mature security teams

Factor the second point into any comparison with your current McAfee contract, and check how it counted MVISION products.

Trellix Bundles (Formerly McAfee Enterprise Bundles) Pricing and Features

The Trellix store sells endpoint and data protection bundles with published prices for 5 to 250 licenses. Above 250 licenses, and for the enterprise package Trellix markets as Trellix Endpoint Security Suite, pricing goes through Trellix sales.

Store product 5 to 25 licenses 101 to 250 licenses
Complete Endpoint Protection, Business $138.96 $96.34
Data Loss Prevention Endpoint $136.56 $102.52
Data Encryption Suite $146.16 $129.14
Complete Data Protection Advanced $179.76 $163.12

All four prices are per license, in US dollars, with the first year of maintenance included, as the store showed them in October 2026. The store also lists tiers for 26 to 50 and 51 to 100 licenses, and its orders are processed by the reseller Cleverbridge.

Key Features of Trellix Bundles

A bundle puts several Trellix products under one license and one console. The main features are:

  • Protection across endpoint, data, and email in one purchase
  • Unified control through Trellix ePO
  • Built-in compliance reporting and automation
  • Support and onboarding through Trellix Thrive packages
  • Scalable license models with role-based access

McAfee Enterprise’s cloud access and web security products now sit with Skyhigh Security, so price that part separately.

Pros of Trellix Bundles

Bundles suit organizations that want fewer contracts:

  • Simplifies vendor management
  • Ideal for enterprises with complex environments
  • Volume pricing advantages

The volume advantage is visible in the store’s tier chart above.

Cons of Trellix Bundles

Bundles also carry costs you may not use:

  • Overhead may be high for small security teams
  • May include modules not all teams use
  • Requires upfront planning for the best return

Map each bundled module to a team that will run it before you sign.

McAfee Pricing Comparison Table

Here is a McAfee pricing comparison table summarizing the core offerings, the company that sells each, and its best fit:

Product Company Pricing Best for
McAfee Total Protection and McAfee+ McAfee From $39.99 first year Individuals and households
Trellix Endpoint Essentials Cloud Trellix $73.12 per license Small fleets, cloud-managed protection
Trellix Complete Endpoint Protection, Business Trellix $138.96, falling to $96.34 per license Up to 250 endpoints in one bundle
Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) Trellix Quote only Enterprises standardized on ePO
Trellix EDR with Forensics Trellix Quote only Teams that need endpoint forensics
Trellix Helix Trellix Quote only SOCs correlating many security tools

Note: prices change, and Trellix quotes above 250 licenses individually, so ask Trellix or a Trellix partner for a quote on your exact license count and product mix.

What Actually Drives McAfee Costs

Five things set the size of a Trellix bill, and most of them are visible before you ask for a quote:

  • The number of licenses, because the store price per license falls at 26, 51, and 101 licenses
  • The product mix, since endpoint protection, EDR, data loss prevention, encryption, and Helix are separate products
  • The management model, with ePO on your own servers or cloud-managed products such as Endpoint Essentials Cloud
  • The support package, from Trellix Thrive Essential to Thrive Advanced or Thrive Elite
  • The subscription term, since the store says longer terms bring discounts

For consumer McAfee, the drivers are simpler: the plan, the number of devices, and whether you are paying the first-year price or the renewal price: the Essential plan costs $39.99 in its first year and renews at $119.99.

Hidden Costs of McAfee and Trellix

The license price is the visible part of a Trellix budget. Trellix’s own pages show where the rest comes from, and each item is worth a line in your business case:

  • Professional services, such as deployment and configuration assistance, are bought separately or paid for with Flex Credits.
  • Premium support means Thrive Advanced or Thrive Elite, which cut the response objective for the most severe cases from 60 to 30 minutes.
  • Add-on modules, from EDR and data loss prevention to encryption and Helix, each carry their own price.
  • User growth adds licenses at your tier’s price, and passing 250 licenses moves you from the store to a sales quote.
  • Training beyond the digital, self-guided courses is bought separately or paid for with Flex Credits.
  • Maintenance renews every year, and the store says renewals “are typically ~40% lower.”
  • On-premises ePO runs on servers and databases you provide and maintain.

Trellix Thrive Essential is included at no cost with every software subscription, and Trellix says Thrive Advanced and Elite add premium support and Flex Credits for training and professional services. The largest hidden cost is usually the team time to tune policies and watch the console, because the license pays for none of the people who read the alerts.

How to Negotiate McAfee and Trellix Pricing

Trellix’s store shows how its prices move, and a prepared buyer can use the same levers in a quote. Work through these steps before the first pricing call:

  1. Count your active endpoints for the past 30 days, so you license what you run.
  2. Check your count against the store’s tier breaks at 26, 51, 101, and 250 licenses.
  3. Ask for a multi-year term, which the store says carries a discount.
  4. Get the maintenance renewal price in writing before you sign.
  5. Ask which Thrive package is included and how many Flex Credits come with it.
  6. Put EDR, data protection, or Helix into one quote with one renewal date.
  7. Agree in writing how licenses added mid-term and at true-up are priced.

The last step matters most for a growing company, because a headcount increase can turn into an unplanned true-up bill. A Trellix partner’s quote can differ from the store price, so ask for both and compare them line by line.

How Can UnderDefense Help You Maximize McAfee Productivity?

If your team runs Trellix Endpoint Security and EDR from ePO and nobody watches the console at night, a critical alert at 2 a.m. waits until morning. The UnderDefense Agentic AI SOC works on top of the endpoint, SIEM, cloud, and identity tools you already own, without replacing them: AI agents investigate every alert, and analysts on shift 24/7 decide what happens next.

Where a Trellix stack leaves off What UnderDefense adds Result for your team
Alerts waiting in the ePO console AI agents investigate every alert About 2 minutes from alert to triage
No analyst on shift at night 24/7 analysts, 20-minute SLA for critical alerts A 2 a.m. alert gets a response

When a critical alert fires overnight, an analyst from the 24/7 analyst team responds within the 20-minute SLA for critical alerts, and your team wakes up to the investigation. One G2 reviewer describes the change:

“We went from no visibility outside business hours to continuous 24/7 coverage.”

Yelyzaveta K., Head of Marketing, software company of 50 or fewer employees, G2 review, September 2026

UnderDefense is rated 4.9 out of 5 from 57 reviews on G2, as of October 2026, and your Trellix licenses stay exactly where they are.
