The UnderDefense Notifications Slack app has completed Slack’s full marketplace review. It is now publicly listed, verified, and searchable under the UnderDefense name. Security teams connecting their workspaces will no longer see an “app not approved by Slack” warning during setup.
What Changed
The app itself, the connection flow, and the underlying data handling are unchanged. What is new is the approval status.
Previously, clients who enabled the Slack integration through the Integrations section encountered a Slack-generated notice flagging the app as unreviewed. That notice is gone. Slack has reviewed, approved, and published the listing. The same one-click setup now installs an app Slack itself has endorsed.
A Public Security Profile
The listing carries a full, publicly visible security profile. Any Slack user who opens the listing can see:
- ISO 27001 certification
- Penetration test date
- Data retention policy: the app stores only a channel ID and an authorization token, both deleted on uninstall
Vendor security review questions that used to surface during trials and onboarding now have a direct, linkable answer. No intake form, no back-and-forth.
Simpler for Restricted Workspaces
Workspace administrators who manage allowlist-only Slack environments can approve the UnderDefense app through the standard Marketplace approval workflow. The workaround of manually clearing an unlisted app is no longer required.
What Security Teams Get
Real-time security alerts in the Slack channels teams already work in. Each alert includes severity, the affected account, and investigation details. Teams can review, confirm, and escalate directly in the alert thread. Full investigation continues in the UnderDefense Agentic AI SOC platform in parallel.
Setup: Integrations → Notifications → Slack Connect → Add to Slack. The flow is identical.
For Sales and Onboarding
The listing is also a discovery channel. UnderDefense is now searchable inside Slack’s own app directory. Prospects can inspect the listing, the permissions the app requests, and the full security profile before any call or trial. “Find us in the Slack Marketplace” is now a verifiable statement.
