Director of Finance
We are a Ukrainian Cyber Security Company (start-up) that provides 24/7/365 end-to-end protection, detection, and response with the revolutionary UnderDefense MAXI Platform. Currently, we are seeking a Director of Finance with experience in M&A and startup fundraising to oversee all financial activities and support the Executive team in financial planning and control. Your responsibilities will include tracking cash flow, conducting financial planning, analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses, and proposing corrective actions.
As the Director of Finance, you will play a significant role in increasing UnderDefense's investment potential and aiding in the growth of the company.
Requirements:
- Experience in the position of Head of Finance, CFO, senior financial analyst, or relevant roles.
- Experience in working with IT or complex technological products.
- Proven experience in startup fundraising.
- High fluency in English.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law (UA, US).
- Deep practical knowledge in the field of investments.
- Systematic, analytical skills and critical thinking.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of the specifics of IT companies.
- Work experience in Big Four companies is welcome.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate organisation's financial and business information to investor community.
- Connect underlying complex non-financial drivers of a business to financial information through analytics.
- Drive down effective tax rates.
- Drive forecasting and budgeting to align the finance function with the strategic vision of the business.
- Ensure organisation comply with regulations involving the filing of their financial and tax statements.
- Ensure that budgets are able to support and are sustainable to match strategic goals.
- Lead finance teams on the technical and quality aspects of financial reporting.
- Oversee the organisations financial reporting function.
- Provide executive support to the Board of Directors with financial and non- financial information.
- Use analytics to support business growth and needs, as well as identify potential problems in advance as part of risk management.
- Use predictive analytics as an enabler to forecast future performance and perform stress testing on business lines.
- Setting and automation of budgeting, control of management accounting.
- Financial planning, budgeting and business planning.
- Building and optimizing the financial and legal structure of the company in foreign jurisdictions.
- Interaction with investors, interaction with external audit companies as part of the annual international audit.
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.
- Supervise internal finance team and coordinate outsourced accountants.
